The Elgin Municipal Park is located on A Street, and has one softball diamonds and two baseball diamonds. It is utilized by little league baseball and t-ball teams starting at 5 years old, high school and middle school softball, soccer, and football. There are a total of three individual fields with bleacher seating, covered dugouts and electronic scoreboards. The park also has soccer fields, little league football field, a pavilion and a concession area with restrooms. The park is well-lit and maintained.
The Martin Field is located at 2nd and J Street and has a large baseball diamond. It is utilized mainly by the high school baseball teams and independent leagues. The diamond has bleacher seating, covered dugouts, an electronic scoreboard, concession area and restrooms.
The Kiddy Park is located at the corner of 4th Place and Keeney Road. The park has swings, monkey bars, slides, a large play structure, a covered picnic table area, and a water fountain. The park is fenced for safety.
Osborne Park is located a 1/2 mile south of town, and is a 10 acre park that is located at the intersection of Keeney Road and Welch Road, and it offers walking trails, a tennis court, swings, a jungle gym, a pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, and benches. There is also a Veteran’s Memorial and “Friends of Osborne Park” section. In the future, Osborne Park will include an outdoor basketball court and an amphitheater.
The Civic Center is maintained by the city and is located at the intersection of 1st and I Streets. It is used by the Delta Nutrition Project as an area to provide lunch for senior citizens.
